Janet began working at Tim Wilson Jewelers at the young age of fifteen. After nine years, she purchased the jewelry store from him and renamed it Expressions in Gold. She kept the shop at this location, in the old Southern Motel Building in Downtown Covington, for about three years. From there she relocated to a shopping center in another part of Covington, where she stayed for thirteen years. She has been in her current location on Collins Boulevard for fifteen years.
Her son Charlie decided he wanted to take part in his family's business. He attended the Texas Institute of Jewelry Technology in Paris, Texas. He graduated as a Certified Bench Jeweler in 1997. He then returned to Louisiana to work side by side with his mom. This mother-son partnership is something that truly sets DeLuca's apart from other jewelry stores!
Special moments in life should always be
commemorated with a special piece of jewelry. -Janet DeLuca
